My mother filed a petition for correction of my name in our local civil registrar and paid P1,500.00 in November last year. When my mom made follow-up to the civil registrar’s office this month (March 2011) she was advised to pay P120.00 for 6 cps of certified xerox copies of birth cert; P450.00 for 3 original birth cert; P150.00 for 3 cps of annotated birth cert for finality plus fees for 10 pcs documentary stamps. My mom was also told to pay at once or the petition will expire.

I just want to know if those fees are legal and and if there’s an expiration for the petition and to whom are we going to send the payment is it to local civil registrar or NSO, Manila?

May i ask for your assistance regarding with my NSO Birth Certificate which i had done process way back pa, the problem was, i applied for an attorney to fixed discrepancy which was my middle name (ROMERO) to (VILLANUEVA) … NSO send me the same as I had in my birth certificate (MYLENE ROMERO LAPAT) which is wrong! it would be (MYLENE VILLANUEVA LAPAT) actually.

Hi, I been in Australia for the last 14 years and I applied twice to get my philippines birth certificate NSO online, and my birthcertificate was fine, last few month I applied again NSO online to get a copy as I lost my copy when we moved to our new house to my surprise I got the birth certificate everything is fine except that my date of Birth is changed to July 29, 1978 I don’t know where this happened but I’m frustrated as all my documentation is September 27 (my birth) not July 29. I need to register my marriage overseas and I cant do that unless i have my birthcertificate fixs. I appreciate any help!!!

Inquire lang kung paano gagawin kapag mag chage ng name sa birth certificate, kasi instead na Pranzcheska naging Franzcheska lumabas sa birth certificate. Isang letter lang naman ang i change from F to P. ano mga kailangan documents, saan i file at magkano ang fee at gaano katagal i process.
